Malayalam film festival, KCA organized event

The magnanimous thinking of Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy deserves kudos. It has come up with the idea of Malayalam film festival for three days in Bengaluru starting from Friday 11th of August. The venue is Chamundeswari Studio near Cunningham Road.

Department of Information and Public Relations and Kerala State Chalanachitra Academy will also screen Kannada films at Tiruvanatapuram for three days from August 26 to 28. KCA in SV Rajendra Singh Babu leadership screened Kannada films held Kannada film festivals in New Delhi, Kolkota and Chenai. It held Bengali film festival in Bengaluru and now Malayalam film festival.

Minister for Bengaluru Development K.J. George will inaugurate the festival at 2.30 p.m. on August 11 at Chamundeshwari Studios in Vasanth Nagar. Noted film maker Girish Kasaravalli will deliver keynote address. Noted Malayalam film personalities including Dileesh Pathan, Vidhu Vincent and actor Vinod Fort will participate in the festival and exchange their views with the audience.

Manhole by Vidhu Vincent will the inaugural film and it will be followed by Maheshinte Prathikaaram by Dileesh Pathan. Aaradi by Saji S. Palamel, Kismath by Shanvas K Bavakutty and Kammatti Paadam by Rajeev Ravi will be screened on Saturday.God Say by Shyju Govind and Sherry Govindan, Mohavalayam by T.V. Chandran and Kaadu Pookunna Neram by Bijukumar Damodaran will be screened on Sunday. Noted Kannada film maker P. Sheshadri will speak on the occasion.
