Malayalees in 58th national Awards

As debutante director Salim Ahamed's 'Aadaminte makan abu' has bagged four important awards in the national level this year, including that of Best film, Best Actor, Best Cinematography and Best Background scores, twelve other Malayalees has also made Mollywood proud with their performances, making the current year's tally to 16 awards.

While Sukumary was selected the best supporting actress for her role in 'Namma Gramam', Saranya ponvannan ( who appeared in many Malayalam films like Artham and Cheppukilukkana changaathy ) has been selected as the best actress.Sabu Cyril has been selected for the best production design for his work in 'Enthiran'-the robot'.

While K R Manoj's 'The pesting journey' was named the best investigative film, Snehal Nair's 'The gem' was named the best film in the non feature section.Indrans jayan was named the best costumer while M Harikumar was selected as the best audiographer, once again.The documentary 'Ottayaal' by Shiny Jacob Benjamin also won a special jury award.
