Prashanth's forthcoming flick 'Mambattiyan' is directed by his father Thiagarajan, and has Prashanth playing the titular role in the film, where he is cast opposite Meera Jasmine. The movie has Prakash Raj and Mumaith Khan playing pivotal roles and there's Vadivelu contributing to the comedy element.

This movie that is a remake of his father, Thiagarajan's super hit, that had the same title, has music tuned in by Thaman.

Now the latest is that, 'Mambattiyan' will release simultaneously in Telugu as 'Debuli' as Prashanth has a good number of audience and fans in Andhra Pradesh as well. And the movie features Mumaith Khan who is well-known among Telugu movie fans; this has an added advantage to the dubbed version.

The movie is gearing up for a late July release.
