Mammootty will be the national ambassador of Street India movement - A movement organized by a group of social activist forums of the state.

The movement initiated by Janaseva Shishu Bhavan, is devised to stop child begging activities in the state, which has grown up to the level of a mafia in the state. Mammootty also delivered a passionate speech in the function organized in association with the inauguration of the movement.

Flagging of Te rally, he said,'I find this position of ambassador of the movement as a great moment of appreciation for my stands towards social problems. Mammootty in future will promote the activities of the movement which aims to present every street child chances for better survival and support'.
