Mammootty to campaign against drugs

Mega star Mammootty led 'care and share' international foundation will organise a campaign against the use of pans and related drugs by school children. The official inauguration of the campaign programme will be held at the Kottappuram school near Aluva on Saturday which will be attended by the mega star. The mission of the foundation is to free the society from the misery of poverty and ill health and to provide quality living to the less fortunate by sharing resources.

Mammootty is currently involved in more than half a dozen philanthropic projects aimed at helping the needy people. He is the ambassador of a charity project, ‘Street India Movement’ aiming at the eradication of Child abuse and Child labor. Mammootty is also the ambassador of Jeevan Jothi - a social work project aimed at providing aid to people who are seeking treatment for any Ophthalmic diseases, Heart (cardiac) orthopedic diseases, liver diseases, renal dysfunctions, Haemophilia diseases and ENT disorders.

Mammootty is the patron of the Pain and Palliative care Society, a charitable organization in Kerala formed with the aim of improving the quality of life among patients with advanced cancer. He is also the ambassador of Akshaya, Kerala’s mass computer literacy campaign which has bagged several awards.
