Though the idea of suing is quite common in the western countries, it is fast catching up in India too. A similar case has found its way in Wayanad in Kerala, when a consumer named Chaathu has lodged a complaint against Mammootty for cheating.

The issue is regarding the Indulekha White soap advertisement featuring Mammootty. The complaint is that he has not delivered what he promised. In the ad he says, to enhance beauty, use Induleksha and beauty will come to your doorsteps. Chaathu has demanded 50,000 rs as compensation. Mammootty and product representatives have been asked to stand trial.
