As we had reported earlier, director Mani Ratnam will start shooting for his next film in Kashmir from the month of September 2016. The film will have Karthi and Sai Pallavi in lead roles.

Earlier it was said that the film will go on floors in June but not changed to September. When we inquired about the reason behind this with the sources close to the maverick director, they said that this is a deliberate postponement and not caused by any external factors.

Two reasons have orchestrated this decision. One his Karthi will need that much time to bring in the hair style required for this film as he has apparently tonsured his head for 'Kaashmora' the film for which he is presently busy shooting for.

Second reason is that Mani Ratnam September month's climate in Kashmir will be the best to shoot this film touted to be a romance flick.

Sources also confirmed that the film will be an out and out romance entertainer and it does not deal with any serious topics like the Kashmir border issue.

Isaipuyal A.R.Rahman will be scoring the music for this yet to be titled flick while Ravivarman has been roped in for the cinematography.

We will keep you posted with more and more details about this exciting project in this space. Stay tuned.
