Manju Warrier was among the celebrities who welcomed Pinarayi Vijayan to take over the new responsibilties as the Chief Minister of Kerala, following the win in the elections. Manju's long post requested Pnnarayi to make Kerala safe for women.
The actress noted that the state is unsafe for women even when asleep in their own homes, noting that this fear is something that can't be lived with. She pointed out the Jisha murder case noting that there was a time people thought that such atrocities happened only in the North. She asked the new CM to make the state women friendly.
