Known for making an impact with his distinct films, Farhan Akhtar has gone ahead to show that he is more than into making films and things revolving it.

The multi-talented celebrity of late is putting serious efforts to promote his awareness campaign -MARD (Men Against Rape And Discrimination). Since the movement is clearly close to the actor’s heart, Farhan has been going all out on social media, promoting - through tweets and other activities.

Taking a step forward in the same stride, Farhan is keen that the MARD poem (penned by his farther, Javed Akhtar) becomes a part of the education system in the country. For this, the actor is planning to meet with official school boards in the city and Delhi to make the MARD poem a part of school syllabus.

Intended to educate young minds with this collaboration, Farhan strongly believes that the students today, are the responsible citizens of tomorrow and thus, it is important to streamline their thought process.

A statement confirmed, "The MARD team is planning to initiate conversations with schools across Mumbai and Delhi to include the objectives of MARD, along with a poem that his dad, Javed Saab has penned, in their curriculum."

Farhan, who will be next seen in ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, strongly believes that the change in law and order solely, cannot curb the increasing rate of crime against women. There has to be a change in the behavioural pattern of society at large.
