'Mardaani' Rani Mukherji preparing her kicks

The much married actress Rani Mukerji has resumed work after her hush-hush wedding and it's for her hubby's production house, YRF's 'Mardaani'. The first look of the film was released just a few days back where we saw Rani in a total no-nonsense avatar.

In this, Rani plays the role of a Police officer and is seen performing some heavy duty stunts. Some behind the scenes pictures were released and looks like Rani is working hard to near perfection... and why not, this is going to be her first movie after her wedding.

Also, Rani’s role is allegedly based on a real life Police Woman who had exposed several child trafficking cases in Mumbai. Bengali actor Jisshu Sengupta has been cast opposite Rani to play her husband.

Rani's last release was Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer 'Talaash' in 2012 where she had played the role of a Police Officer's wife.

Directed by Pradeep Sarkar, who's also worked with Rani in 'Laga Chunari Mein Daag', 'Mardaani' releases in August.
