Mellisai
'Puriyatha Puthir' formerly titled as 'Mellisai' is a psychological thriller flick starring Vijay Sethupathi and Gayathri of 'Naduvula Konam Pakkatha Kanom' fame in lead roles. The film has been directed by debutant Ranjith Jeyakodi.
Vijay Sethupathi plays a musician in the film while Gayathri plays a violin teacher. Music has a very pivotal role in this film. Ramesh Thilak, Arjunan and Sonia Deepti of 'Inidhu Inidhu ' fame play the supporting characters in the film. Music is by Sam C.S of 'Vikram Vedha' fame while cinematography is by Dinesh Krishnan. Bavan Sreekumar has taken care of Editing.
The film has been produced by Deepan Boopathy and Ratesh Venu under Rebel Studios banner. The films being release by J.Sathish Kumar of JSK FIlm Corporation which has released many critically acclaimed films over the years.
'Puriyatha Puthir' shooting began in 2014 and was ready for release last year itself.
Now it has been officially confirmed that the film will be hitting the screens on September 1, 2017. The film as acquired a clean U certificate from Censor board.
