'Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho': Top CJI's and High Court Judges give thumbs up

National Award winning film director Vinod Kapri`s upcoming social satire 'Miss Tanakpur Hazir Ho' has received two thumbs up from the top judges of India.

The director had hosted a special screening for the Judges - Former Chief Justice of India ( CJI) - Justice RC Lahoti, Former CJI MP High Court Krishan Kumar Lahoti, Delhi HC Sitting judges - Justice Kailesh Gambhir, Justice Manmohan Singh, Justice Rajiv Shakdhar, Justice Suresh Kait, Justice G P Mittal, Justice VK Shali. Retired Delhi HC Judges - Justice Manmohan Sarin, Justice S K Agarwal and Justice S K Mahajan.

Vinod Kapri is delighted on hearing that the top Judges have appreciated his effort in bringing out some hard hitting facts which Kapri had himself witnessed during his days of television Journalism.

In 'Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho', Kapri narrates the story of a man who is falsely accused by a village strongman that he has raped a buffalo. The powerful man of the village also gets the Khap panchayat to pass a verdict that he has to marry the victim, the buffalo called Miss Tanakpur. Vinod Kapri says, "It was simply an honour for me to have them for the screening of my movie that are inspired by some real events."

Recently Vinod Kapri had requested for police protection after death threat from Khap Panchayat in UP. The Ahlawat khap panchayat in Uttar Pradesh has announced a reward of 51 buffaloes to anyone who beheads the filmmaker.

The trailer of 'Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho' has already become viral and had received rare appreciation from stalwarts of Bollywood like Amitabh Bachchan and Raju Hirani. Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho is being marketed and distributed by Fox Star Studios and is set to release on June 26.
