Actress Miya has carved a niche for herself in tinsel town and has successfully made her foray in Kollywood too. But, her roles have most often been not challenging enough. In an upcoming movie titled 'Thotavadi', Miya plays a very socially relevant character.

Miya plays an upper class educated woman, interested in painting and music, who is restricted to household chores after her marriage. She plays the chief protagonist in the movie. Miya will have a fresh look in it, as she dons a specs and curls for her character. The movie is being directed by George Varghese.
