Ms. Dhanalakshmi, the controversial Censor Board chief, has come under sharp criticism from Mohan Babu. "She and six others watched Dhenikaina Ready's Malayalam version on Monday without seeking my permission. She has no right to watch a film without the producer's permission. She is looking down upon producers. She is creating problems us even two days before film release date," an angry Mohan Babu said at a press meet.

He wondered how someone who doesn't know Telugu is certifying Telugu movies. He also referred to the allegations of corruption against her. "ACD has conducted raids in the past. She is still continues to be in the office. I have secured information through Right to Information. I will seek out whose support she enjoys," he said.

He also lampooned the differential treatment meted out to films in different languages. "Obscenity is liberally allowed in Malayalam. In Hindi movies, vulgar club dances are never censored. When I have made a decent film, they are putting a spanner in the wheel," he said.
