According to the rumour mills, Mohanlal and Nivin Pauly have been approached to play the lead roles in an upcoming project. It is heard that the movie will be produced by KK Rajagopal, who had earlier associated with Mohanlal for the 2010 release Shikkar. However, there is no official announcement on the project yet.

It may be remembered that earlier, Nivin Pauly was approached to play an important role in Mohanlal's movie Geethanjali, but the actor turned down the offer due to date clashes. As both the stars are undisputed kings of the box office down the south if the rumoured movie materializes it will be a SURE hit in the box-office.
