Mohanlal plays Vascodagama. But he neither goes on sailing nor explores any new island. Mohanlal simply plays the role of Vascodagama, a youth who insists on squandering his life by playing with kids and doing nothing useful in particular.

Mohanlal plays Vascodagama in the new film Chota Mumbai. Chota Mumbai is director Anwar Rasheed's new film after Rajamanikkam.

The film's shooting begins on the 4 January at Kochi. Bhavana is heroine. Mohanlal will be joining crew on the 10 January.
