Director Vijay Thampy is tipped to join hands with Mohanlal this year. He would be wielding the megaphone for a movie titled Kanal that would feature Mohanlal in the lead role.
The shooting will begin in June at Kothamangalam. The film is produced by Seven Arts.
According to Thampy, Kanal speaks about the story of bamboo cutters and lorry drivers.
Meanwhile, Vijay Thampy plays a guest role in a movie starring Dileep titled Chess.
