If the reports are to be believed, Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput`s upcoming space film, titled Chanda Mama Door Ke, which is being announced recently, is likely to have Mohanlal in an important role. Touted to be the first space film in Bollywood, the makers of the flick have designed a special role in the film, for which they are considering Mohanlal.

Even though the character offered to Mohanlal doesn't have much screen time, it is said to be one of the most important roles of the movie. If things go according to plan, the team will soon approach the complete actor for the same.

To be directed by Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan, the team is currently spending time researching at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Sushant Singh Rajput, has started preparing for his role as an astronaut, while Mohanlal is currently busy filming for the upcoming Major Ravi movie 1971 Beyond Borders. Filming on the project is expected to start rolling by July 2017.
