The title of the film Mombaththi` with a caption Candle in the wind` is a derivation from the song of Elton John who wrote as a tribute to Princess Diana is inspiration for the director Srinivas Kaushik.

Like how a candle (Mombaththi) behaves in different occasions is similar in concept of the story of Srinivas Kaushik. The audio release of the film took place after the screening of well made songs at Green House Raj Milan on Monday evening.
