“I am not acting in films for the sake of making money. My happiness and job satisfaction are important to me than anything else,” says Madhavan, who recently turned down an offer to play one of the lead roles in the Tamil remake of ‘3 Idiots’.

Explaining the reason, he says, “I would definitely love to do a film with Shankar and he is a prolific director. But I am not ready to repeat a role which I did earlier. It is boring to go through the process again.”

“Also, I am on a break now besides mending by paining knee. I will be facing the camera soon and a couple of Tamil projects are in my hand,” says Maddy, who will play pivotal roles in Lingusamy’s ‘Vettai’ and a film by director Vijay of ‘Madrasapattinam’ fame.

Eagerly looking forward for the audio launch of ‘Manmadhan Ambu’, in which he has shared the screen space with Kamal Haasan after ‘Anbe Sivam’, the actor says, “It was a great experience to work with Kamal sir again.”
