Mr 420

Very ordinary theme and extremely outdated treatment is given to `Mr 420' by director Pradeep Raj in his second film. It leaves a doubt that he has picked scenes from various films to make this film. The strong similarity is `Rambo' in the first half. Second half of `Mr 420' is everything as expected.

A film by senior producer Sandesh Nagaraj with experienced artists such as Golden star Ganesh, Rangayana Raghu, Sadhu Kokila in it, the film needed some alteration at the time of making. The main drawback of this film is that the characters are portrayed in negative shades.

Joining uncle Ranganna the route of Krishna is stealing. Pick pocket is so easy for the duo. With so much of stealing they live in a poor condition at home. When a chain snatching in the bus is successful it leads to love affair for Krishna with Rukmini. Krishna fixing his uncle Ranganna returns Rs.1 lakh worth gold chain to Rukmini. The hardship for `420' works starts as Rumkmini is against to this stealing and living. All is not well they a suitcase the duo lift that leads to various complications. The duo faces the charge of murder of a don. How they escape and give up for blemish less living is next outdated style of narration.

This is not a film for golden star Ganesh. His image is different and doing this pick pocket role without any family sentiments, romantic moments, lovely dialogues and peppy situations it is difficult to imagine Ganesh. He is on a wrong route and his fans would object to this kind of film. For Rangayana Raghu and Sadhu Kokila it is a routine task. Pranitha looks grand in long shots and when she is angry she has acted well.

V Harikrishna is also monotonous in his tunes. Nothing is catchy from his five songs. R Giri cinematography is OK but nothing appealing in shots. Editing also deserved to be better. The main trump card that was supposed to be dialogues for Ganesh is also substandard.

Look out for better entertainment.
