Weaves Magic Of Love
Wednesday, December 21, 2011 • Tamil Comments

Love, imagination and dreams go hand in hand. So does music. Proving this once again is the music album of 'Muppozhudum Un Karpanaigal', composed by G V Prakash Kumar.

So youthful yet so mature are the songs from this film, directed by Elred Kumar and produced by R S Infotainment, with Atharva and Amala Paul playing the lead roles. With the single track already making waves, let's have a close look at the other songs too.

Oru Murai Listen here

G V Prakash, Blaaze, Andrea Jeremiah

While Prakash a music composer and Andrea an actress have turned singers for this number, what else could Blaaze do than turning a lyricist (while the Tamil lines are by Thamarai, the English ones have been penned by Blaaze). The song jointly crooned by Prakash, Andrea and Blaaze makes an instant impact with its soft beats, cool rendering and pampering lyrics. Watch out for the remix, which too is equally interesting.

Mazhai Pozhiyum Listen here

Aalap Raju, Megha, G V Prakash

It can't be a romantic album if it doesn't have at least a small reference to rain. Perhaps following the tradition comes 'Mazhai Pozhiyum...' which is refreshing as the initial words suggest. What starts on a fast note develops into a melody with western beats adding more pep. G V Prakash has done a good job in the company of Aalap Raju and Megha.

Oh Sunandha Listen here

Raman Mahadevan, Caroline, Megha

The magic of love can be felt here once again, as this fast-paced melody  (listen to the song to believe, if you are wonder how a melody can be fast-paced) gives us a mesmerizing experience. Raman Mahadevan's creamy voice gives big support to Prakash's tune with Caroline and Megha lending apt support.

Yaar Aval Yaaro Listen here

Mohammed Irfan

What a tune and what a voice! 'Yaar Aval Yaaro...' is love at first hearing, as we fall for the number the moment we listen the first few lines. And what follows is a musical extravaganza. Kudos to Prakash and Mohammed Irfan for a wonderful job.

Sokku Podi Listen here

Baba Sehgal, Shruti Haasan

The song made waves when it was in the making itself, as it brought together Baba Sehgal and Shruti Haasan before the mike. The end-product fulfils all the expectations, as this interesting mix of western and Indian music makes the listeners to tap their feet. The youngsters might even dance in cinema halls when this number is shown on screen.

Kangal Neeye Listen here

Sithara

Singer Sithara, whose name itself has a close connection to music, lives up to it. Her voice continues to echo in our ears even long time after we listened 'Kangal Neeye....' Thamarai's lines are imaginative, while Prakash's composition is innovative and he is out of the box at places.

The music of 'Muppozhudum Un Karpanaigal' makes a strong presence as it is an interesting journey to the heart from ears. We can't help it if that's the magic of love...
