Yesteryear actress Vijayashanthi, it's known, turned vocal after the death of J Jayalalithaa with whom she always shared cordial relations. Surprisingly or otherwise, during the ongoing political turmoil in TN, she has been voicing her support to the Sasikala faction. The other day, she did her 'kartavyam' by congratulating the now-convicted Chinamma (Sasikala's nickname) and the 122 MLAs who supported her alleged proxy CM candidate!
Vijayashanthi has said that while "evil forces", including OPS, tried to bring about an end to the ADMK rule, Chinamma has done her best for the party, protecting the 122 MLAs. She added that the only aim of Chinamma is to bring about a stable rule in the State.
Reacting to Vijayashanthi, Kollywood music director James Vasanthan has said, "Does Vijayashanthi think she is a big political legend? Keep your views within your State, for this is not a movie but the lives of Tamil people".
