At a time when there were reports that few Muslim organisations were planning to agitate 'Viswaroopam' since the film has scenes which portray Muslims in bad light, Kamal Haasan came out with a statement on Sunday, seeking to put an end to the issue.

In his statement, Kamal said that "if they watch the film, my brothers in Muslim community will feel bad for finding fault with me, since Viswaroopam will make them proud."

Kamal also requested Muslim organisations to serve biriyani to 1000 poor people, if the film was not against them.

Reacting to this, the Tamil Nadu unit of Muslim League on Monday said that they are ready to serve biriyani to 1000 people if there is no any objectionable reference against Muslims in 'Viswaroopam'.
