In Tamil film industry you can cite quite a few names of celebrities who use to be casual and candid in their industry Udhayanidhi Stalin is certainly one among them. The actor-producer has always remarked candidly about his films that have failed to make any good impression.
In his latest interview to IndiaGlitz, right at the beginning itself Udhayanidhi makes a candid remark about his previous film. When the anchor says he liked Udhay's last film while referring to 'Manidhan'. Udhay asks the anchor whether he liked his last film as if he is surprised by that. When the anchor corrected his mistake and said he was referring to 'Manidhan' and said he could not watch Saravana Irukka Bayamaen' fully, Udhay laughs and says "I can understand."
While talking about his wife and director Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi', the 'Manidhan' actor says "She used to listen to stories of my films. I will ask her opinion. After that when the (first) copy is ready she will watch the film and share her opinion. Now she is directing her second film. Beyond that we will not involve in each other's projects. "
Asked about his filmmaker wife's reaction after watching his films, Udhay is again candid and honest to the extent of admitting that the former has walked out half way while watching one of his films which was unbearable to her.
"I cannot name the film but she has scolded me for doing a film. She has also appreciated certain films. For some films she has felt I could have done better. She has even walked out halfway for some films. Again I cannot name that film. Audience will guess it." (Laughs)
Udhayanidhi also said that his father M.K.Stalin used to watch all his films and share his correct feedback. The Working President of the DMK, liked the film 'Manidhan' and said he liked that more than any other film of his. However Udhay's mother would say all her son's films are good.
Udhayanidhi Stalin's next film to hit the screens will be 'Podhuvaga Emmanasu Thangam' directed by debutant Thalapathy Prabhu. The film is a rural entertainer where Udhay plays a village youngster for the first time in his acting career. Nivetha Pethuraj plays the female lead while Parthiban and Soori will be seen in important roles. The film has been produced by Thenandal Studios Limited.
'Podhuvaga Emmanasu Thangam' is ready for release and it will be hitting the screens very soon.
