Over the years, Tamil cinema has contributed many songs either as tribute or explaining the plight of workers doing low-paying jobs that are essential for day to day life of people.

'Tharai mel pirakkavaithan' of 'Padakotti' made us understand the plight of fishermen. 'Kaduvulenum Mudhalali' of 'Vivasayi' made us cherish the greatness of farmers. Both these songs featured the iconic Makkal Thilagam MGR. Superstar Rajinikanth was danced to 'Vandhenda Paalkaran' in 'Annamalai' and 'Naan Autokaran' in 'Baasha'. He played a milk vendor in the former and Auto driver in the latter.

Now Tamil cinema is going to deliver a song about the greatness of barbers. This song has been penned and crooned by Mysskin for his upcoming film 'Savarakathi'. for which he has written the script and acted as the antagonist.

As the film's story revolves around a barber and most of the film happens in his saloon, this song has been included. The song composed by Arrol Corelli has been titled as 'Barber Geetham' (Barber Anthem) and it will glorify the services rendered by barbers,

'Barber Anthem' will be released as a single track in YouTube today and this song video will feature many Kollywood celebrities apart from general public.

'Savarakathi' has been directed by G.R.Adithya and it stars Ram and Poorna in lead roles. The film produced by Mysskin under his Lonewolf production banner is getting ready to hit the screens soon.
