Naa Peru Shiva Review

'Naan Mahaan Alla' starring Karthi and Kajal Agarwal has been waiting to release in Telugu for over an year now.But it is Karthi's film. He has proved himself in 'Yuganiki Okkadu' and 'Awara'. Despite his brother Suriya's superstar status, Karthi has created a fan base for himself in Andhra Pradesh.

Karthi's films come with an assurance of certain quality. You have seen him as a warrior in 'Yuganiki Okkadu' and then as a cab driver in 'Awara'.Cut to 2011, he is back with 'Naa Peru Shiva' the Telugu dubbed version of 'Naan Mahaan Alla' where he plays a regular Chennai lad who is in love with a girl and is willing to do anything for her. The plot on how he proposes to her and strives to get a job so that he could marry her and saves her family from trouble, makes the plot of Naa Peru Shiva.

Karthi learnt Telugu and dubbed for his role in this film. He claims that this has been his best performance so far and since this role is realistic, he didn't feel like he was acting.

"This is based on a real life story. I play the role of a Chennai based middle class guy. I grew up like that and hence I didn't feel like I was acting. I did it with so much ease and comfort. After watching this film in Tamil, critics called this one of my best performances ever. I am waiting to see how Telugu audience will respond to this film" Karthi says.

Yuvan Shankar Raja's music has been a big asset to this flick.' Manase Guvvai...' and 'Naalo Pranalanni..' are sure to be instant hits. Karthi said that the background score given by Yuvan Shankar for this movie got standing ovation in Tamilnadu theatres.

"Yuvan is the second hero of this movie" Karthi said at the audio launch in Hyderabad.

Karthi's relative Gnanavel Raja is the producer of this movie. R Madhi's cinematography for this love and action thriller is supposedly one of its kind in South Indian cinema. Unlike in typical Telugu movies, Kajal Agarwal is looking very pretty with costumes of a girl next door.She is not too flaunty and overstylish in this movie.

Apart from Karthi and Kajal most of the star cast in this picture are new faces. This critically acclaimed flick was directed by Suseenthiran who had earlier worked with Selvaganesh.

The Telugu trailers of Naa Peru Shiva have already evoked great response from the audience. Besides, Karthi announced that after his wedding next week, he will be in Hyderabad to promote the film. If this movie also turns out to be a blockbuster and money spinner in Telugu box office, Karthi is surely going to surpass the brand image of his brother Suriya in Telugu market.

Karthi's 'Yuganiki Okkadu' and 'Awara' collections were outstanding for a dubbed movie. Naturally, the anticipation levels on 'Naa Peru Shiva' are sky high. This movie hits the screens in AP in the last week of July.
