'Naan Ee' enters successful 4th week - Emerges safe bet!

In a film industry driven by fans who worship heroes, emerged a fly as a hero. Yes, we’re referring to SS Rajamouli’s Naan Ee that’s entering its 4th successful week today, at a time when even well-established Tamil actor / filmmaker’s films find it difficult to see a decent 2 – 3 week run in the BO.

On July 6 ‘Naan Ee’ graced worldwide screens and released in more than 200 screens in TN alone. Even before its release many critics had written off Naan Ee as merely a dubbed film with no star power. But post the release everyone unanimously praised Naan Ee and wholeheartedly agreed that it a straight Tamil film made with the nativity and local sensitivity in mind. (Remember it’s a Telugu – Tamil bilingual made simultaneously in both the languages).

The film went on to capture the hearts and minds of the Tamil audience. Today as Naan Ee enters the 4th week of its theatrical run; it has re-written quite a few records on its way! The film that opened in more than 200 screens continues to run in more than 180 screens even in the fourth week

From Rajinikanth to top directors have showered it with praises. Kasi theatre in Chennai has re-released Naan Ee after a gap of two weeks. In the fourth week, Santham has commenced screening Naan Ee and many theatres across TN have shifted Naan Ee from small screens to large screens in its fourth week!

Naan Ee has proved the oft repeated quote that content is King. The producers, PVP Cinema and Director S S Rajamouli are very happy with the success of Naan Ee. The story of a simple housefly has managed to capture the imagination of the public…
