Having done with its Old City schedule and later, in Greece, Naayak is currently being shot in Kolkata. Some action episodes involving Charan, Dev Gill and others are shot in this schedule.

Kishore Roya and Rajeev Kanakala, who are part of the cast, are also part of this schedule.

Written by Akula Shiva, the film has music by SS Thaman. Cinematography is by Chota K Naidu. Also starring Kajal and Amala Paul, Brahmi, Jayaprakash Reddy, MS, Asish Vidhyarthi, Rahul Dev, Raghu Babu, Pradeep Rawat, Satyam Rajesh and Sudha are part of the cast.

The film is slated for Jan 9, 2013 release.
