The South Indian Film Artistes Association, popularly known as Nadigar Sangam, has passed resolutions in support of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa and offered its complete co-operation to the Government.

The executive committee meeting of the association, which is the decision making body of the Nadigar Sangam, was held in Chennai on Saturday in the presence of president Sarath Kumar and general secretary Radha Ravi.

One of the resolutions passed at the meeting said the Nadigar Sangam would support Jayalalithaa's efforts to urge the Central government to retrieve Katchatheevu from Sri Lanka, to protect the fishermen of India.

Speakers at the meeting lauded the Chief Minister for her vow to make Tamil Nadu the numero uno State in the country and expressed happiness at her being becoming the head of the State Government for third time.
