The Nadigar Thilagam is revered by all the actors in India and fans still consider him the God of acting. One of his films Sivagamiyin Selvan` which has been digitally remastered and released has enjoyed a 100 day run at the Srinivasa Theater Chennai.

At a time when new movies of even big stars struggle to stay a week at the box office Sivaji Ganesan has managed this feat fifteen years after his death. The 100th day celebration is taking place tomorrow at the Srinivasa Theater presided over by the Sivaji Peravai leader K. Chandrasekaran in which M. Subramanian MLA will be the Chief Guest while the Sivaji family, director C. V. Rajendhran and other film personalities are expected to participate.

Sivakamiyin Selvan` directed by C.V. Rajendhran had Vanishree and Latha as Sivaji`s pairs while AVM Rajan had a pivotal role. M. S. Viswananthan scored the lilting super hit songs which helped the film become a superhit in the year 1974 and 42 years later, history has repeated.
