After the stupendous success of the 1997 war-entertainer ‘Border’, the makers are back after a whopping 16 years with the second instalment of the franchise. Latest buzz is that the son of the beautiful veteran actress Nafisa Ali, Ajit Sodhi will soon make his big Bollywood debut with JP Dutta’s ‘Border 2’.

While the young actor has been roped in to essay the role of a 19 year old officer, details of the rest of the starcast are under wraps for the moment.

Confirming the news the spokesperson of the film stated, "Yes, Ajit Sodhi will be part of Border 2. He is an extremely talented actor and he suited the role to the T."

Sunny Deol has also been roped in as one of the leads in the war drama. Though Sunny essayed the role of a Sikh commanding officer in the original ‘Border’, he will now be seen in a Rajput commanding officer’s avatar in ‘Border 2’ , an adaptation from real life events that happened at the Battle of Longewala fought in Rajasthan during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 and Bangladesh Liberation War.
