'Manam' has opened to a highly positive talk all over and Ram Gopal Varma seems to have been very impressed with the movie. He has praised the movie as a trendsetter in Telugu film industry. He praised Nagarjuna and director Vikram Kumar for making a film like 'Manam'. He also praised Naga Chaitanya for his ease even when acting with his father and grand father.

He said that the only tragedy about 'Manam' is ANR is not here.
