Nagavalli

Thursday, January 1, 1970 • Telugu Comments

Victory Venkatesh who is on an experimental mode is all ready to set the screen on fire with 'Nagavalli' on December 16th. With five heroines and a sequel of a blockbuster movie 'Chandramukhi', this suspense thriller is the hot favourite for movie buffs this season.

The script that has enthralled superstars like Vishnu Vardhan and has 'curiosity' as the unique selling proposition, will see Venkatesh in a 'King' avatar with multiple shades of acting in it. He is believed to have tried a negative shade in this movie like never before, which will be a surprise to his fans.

Ever since Vishnuvardhan who played the lead in Kannada version of this movie passed away after playing the lead in the film, stories of actors of this script being haunted have only increased expectations out of this 'Nagavalli' among the audience. Director P Vasu has made minor changes in the story to suit local sensibilities and the body language of Venkatesh.

The story is about the problems created by the spirit of 'Nagavalli' in a house and how a doctor resolves the issue. Anuskha Shetty, Poonam Kaur, Richa Gangopadhyay, Shraddha Das, Kamilini Mukherjee will all share the screen space and there is  curiosity generated already on who is the 'Nagavalli' amongst these beauties. Sharath Babu, Dharmavarapu Subramaniam, Bramhanandam and Prabha are playing important roles in the film. According to Venkatesh, the movie will have slapstick comedy scenes between him and Bramhanandam that will ease the nerve breaking suspense in the movie.

Bellamkonda Suresh who is producing this film has not left any stone unturned in its promotions. Who is the real Nagavalli? contests, innovative poster with a veil covering the potrait of 'Chandramukhi'  generated immense interest in the movie among audience. Venkatesh's quirky sound 'Aura Aura' has also managed to penetrate among audience similar to Rajnikanth's 'Laka Laka Laka' in 'Chandramukhi'.

The highlight of this film is a song 'Abhimanulu Lenide Herolu Leru ra.. Anucharulu lenide Leaderlu Leru' choreographed by Raju Sundaram with sixty dancers and Venky. The audio launch which was held on a grandscale in Hyderabad was a perfect precursor to the movie. The music of this movie by Gurukiran evoked decent response.

A perfect blend of suspense and entertainment, Nagavalli will be back to create a storm at the box office this season.
