Nakul was a regular recipient of 'Chevalier Sivaji' award, when he was a student in Ashram School, run by Superstar Rajinikanth's wife Latha. 'Yes, I feel that proud that I studied at Ashram, a school with a difference. Those days are still green in my memory, 'recalls the ‘Kadhalil Vizhunthen’ hero.

'Silambarasan and Soundarya (Rajini's younger daughter) were my classmates at Ashram. I was regularly selected for Chevalier Sivaji Award, an annual honour given to best on-stage performer of the school,' he says.

On his forthcoming film ‘Kandha Kottai’, the actor, who is fresh from the success of ‘Masilamani’, says, 'my character in ‘Kandha Kottai’ is a straight contrast to what I did in KV and Masilamani. I am playing a youth who hates love to the core. How love changes in the life is the crux of the movie. Poorna of ‘Muniyandi Vilangiyal Moonramandu’ fame is the heroine.'
