Rasu Madhuravan directed 'Mike Set Pandi', which has Sabarish and Sunaina in lead roles, has undergone a name change. The movie will henceforth be known as 'Pandi Oli Perukki Nilayam'.
According to sources, the decision has been taken to make the film eligible to get tax exemption from the State government. "But for the earlier title which had some English words, the film glorifies Tamil tradition," sources close to the unit say.
Karunas, Singam Puli, Vatsan CR and 'Ganja' Karuppu among others are doing important roles in this film. Interestingly, though the title has been changed, the sub-title of the movie will be 'Urimaiyalar: Mike Set Pandi'.
Plans are on to release the movie by the middle of June. "Shooting is over and the film has taken shape in a gripping manner. It will be an entertainer with all interesting elements," the director says.
