Nanhe Jaisalmer

Thursday, January 1, 1970 • Hindi Comments

In showbiz, one hears number of stories about obsessive fans.

Fans who would do everything possible to get in touch with their screen idols.
Fans for whom life is nothing beyond the one whom they worship day in and night out.
Fans who are simply in love with their idol and dream to send the rest of their life with them.

'Nanhe Jaisalmer' is the story of one such fan.....one whose love for his idol is completely different from any of the traits as mentioned above.

For him, his idol is his best friend. Someone with whom he shares everything that happens in his life. All this in spite of the fact that he had never met his screen star!

He is 'Nanhe' [Dwij Yadav], a 10 year old boy from Jaisalmer, a town in Rajasthan and his 'dost' is none other than Bobby Deol who plays himself.

Nanhe's imagination was centered on only one man in his life - Bobby Deol. Though he was an illiterate when it comes to formal studies, he possibly knew more about languages than any average person. Knowing as many as four foreign languages, he was responsible for well to do of his family even at such a young age.

His imagination led himself to keep faith in himself...and his idol. Always believing that one day he would meet Bobby Deol, he thought about him day in and night out. Through his sister Suman he wrote a letter a day to Bobby telling him about each and every moment in his life. Even though he was a child, he had a lot to share with Bobby. His wins, his moments, his desires.

And one day Nanhe got what he always wanted in his little life so far. He met Bobby and life was never the same again for him.

Bobby too reciprocated the friendship that Nanhe had for him and a unique bond developed between the two. The two became inseparable and in the meanwhile Bobby made Nanhe aware about the ways of life and numerous lessons it tought ever day!

Directed by Samir Karnik who had debuted with Aishwarya Rai-Viveik Oberoi 'Kyun Ho Gaya Na' a few years back, 'Nanhe Jaisalmer' has music by Himesh Reshammiya and is expected to arrive in July.
