Narasimhudu

Thursday, January 1, 1970 • Tamil Comments

Quite simply, it is time for NTR Jr to show that he has the pedigree of a lion. Arguably the going has not been very good for him in the last two or three films.

Sambha was passable but Naa Alludu was a monumental disaster.

The failures have ensured that NTR Jr, who was leaping up in the ladder, has to now pause and ponder.

Narasimhudu is his most crucial film yet.

NTR Jr of course was in a quandary whether to play any different from his previous films or simply go by the book.

He seems to have chosen the latter and has gone for a story that has proven to be a hit in Kannada.

Narasimhudu is said to be remake of the Kannada film Durgai in which the heroine goes on a revenge spree after the villain butchers her sisters.

In Narasimhudu, the heroine-centric story has been improvised to a hero-centric one.

But there is no dearth of glamour as two heroines ----Amisha Patel and Sameera Reddy --- are said to have vied with each other in glamour stakes.

Amisha started as the number one heroine, but it is Sameera who has ended up as the talk of the town. The dances involving her and NTR Jr are already spoken of very highly. And then there is also a song with Arthi Agarwal atop a train.

Veteran B Gopal, who knows a thing or two about commercial cinema, has brought to for all his acumen and experience to this film.

The songs of Mani Sharma have gone down well with the masses.

Producer Chengala Venkat Rao has had success before with films carrying lion-related names in the title.

Narasimhudu is waiting to join the list.
