The Star Cricket Tournament participated by almost all the leading stars and heroes of Kollywood has ended successfully. This was the fund-raising idea of the new Nadigar Sangam office bearer team that has taken over the administration of the Sangam with the primary promise of constructing a new state of the art building for the Sangam with various facilities.

The new President Nasser, General Secretary Vishal, Treasurer Karthi as well as the other members of the Executive Council of the Sangam have successfully conducted the tournament on Sunday last, which saw the participation of a host of Kollywood stars including veterans Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan and also the stalwarts such as Mammootty, Balakrishna, Nagarjuna, Venkatesh and Shiv Rajkumar, from other film industries .

So did the star-studded tournament fetched the desired result of raising funds for the construction of the building? If yes how far and how much is still required? To bring out these information for our readers Indiaglitz contacted a source close to the Sangam's administrators and got some interesting details.

According to the source it has been estimated that Rs.26 crores is still required for constructing the building. The tournament held on Sunday has fetched almost Rs.13 crores through ticket sales, satellite rights and sponsors. advertisements and other sources. With this the construction will be started and the laying of the basement for the building will begin soon.

Vishal, Karthi and a few other top heroes will act together in a film to raise the remaining amount as they had promised during the run up to the elections held last year.

Indiaglitz wholeheartedly appreciates the unperturbed efforts of the Nadigar Sangam to fulfill their poll promises in right earnest. We also also wish the best for the remaining works to be completed and see the building constructed very soon.
