Navya Nair was recently caught in a controversy. She had reportedly assaulted a junior artiste for using cell phone in the sets of Maya Kannadi.
Navya Nair has now opened out on the issue. Denying reports that appeared in few sections of the press, Navya says, 'The junior artiste was talking into the cell phone. Director Cheran asked her not to, but she disregarded it. She was finally sent out of the sets. Unfortunately rumors spread thick and fast'.
Known for doing performance-oriented roles, Navya Nair says, 'If the story is good, I will definitely accept the movie. I should have an opportunity to act in the movie'.
She says, 'I act for my fans. I expect them to enjoy my performance rather than starting fan clubs. I feel that is going to serve no purpose'.
