Having won the tag of a performing actress, Navya Nair is on cloud nine for actor-director Cheran has chosen her to play the heroine in his next Tamil movie Maya Kannadi.
A visibly thrilled Navya says, 'after seeing my performance in director T V Chandran's Aadum Koothu, Cheran was impressed and immediately cast me in Maya Kannadi'.
I am preparing myself hard to take up my UG exams, which falls on the first week of March after which I would be completing Maya Kannadi. Meanwhile, my Malayalam venture Kadalpolae would also go to floors, Navya says.
She says that it gives her immense satisfaction to work in off-beat films and if she is convinced she would not hesitate to act in glamour roles.
