Earlier we had informed you the Ketan Mehta is making a biopic, titled ‘Mountain Man’.

While it was heard that the ace filmmaker is planning to cast a newcomer, latest update on the project is that Mehta has made his choice, although it is not a fresh face...

According to sources, Ketan Mehta has roped in Nawazuddin Siddhiqui, the talented actor of ‘Kahaani’ and ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’ fame, for the lead hero of ‘Mountain Man’.

Confirming the news, the helmer told in an interview, "Yes, I have chosen him for the film. He is a great actor and I feel that he suits the role really well. This is why I went for Nawazuddin."

‘Mountain Man’ is reported to inspired from Dashrath Manjhi, the poor Bihari labourer, who shot to fame after he single-handedly dug a road in a mountain for 22 years, tediously day and night.

Manjhi, who was popularly called as the Mountain Man, cut the distance between Ghivra mauja of Dashrath Nagar, in Gehlaur Ghati to Atara Prakhand, Wajirganj, from 75 kilometres to just one kilometre.

Mehta said that currently they are finalising the last schedule of the project’s shooting after which they will take the film to the floors. The film will be mostly shot in Bihar.
