Sekhar Kammula has remade Bollywood Super hit film,'Kahaani', as 'Anaamika' in Telugu. Nayantara has reprised Vidya Balan's character in this movie.

Harsha Vardhan Rane and Vaibhav play key roles in this movie, which is set in the backdrop of old city in Hyderabad. The film has been censored recently and has got a U/A certificate.

Viacom 18, Identity motion pictures and Logline pictures have ventured into south for the first time and produced this movie and the makers are planning to release it on April 18th or 25th. Based on the availability of theatres, the makers will finalize one of these two dates.

M.M.Keeravani has composed the music and famous writer Yandamuri Veerendranath has penned the dialogues.

Sekhar Kammula said that he has made some changes to the original, so as to suit the Telugu nativity and is confident of the success.
