Nayanthara is playing a strong willed district collector in Aramm` directed by Gopi Nainaar in which she heads the cast with the Kaaka Muttai` boys Vignesh and Ramesh also playing other important roles. The film has music by Ghibran, cinematography by Om Prakash, editing by Gopi Krishna and produced by Kotapadi Rajesh.

Nayan after Raja Rani` has decided not to participate in the promotions of films that she stars in and has maintained her stance for the past five years or so. However, for Aramm` the lady superstar has broken the shackles and is promoting the film on Sun TV as an Independence Day special. Industry insiders are of the opinion that producer Kotapadi Rajesh is Nayan`s manager and she is doing it as a favor to him.
