Nayanthara has been chosen to play the lead opposite Rajnikant in Chandramukhi.

Sources close to the Superstar said that Nayanthara was director P Vasu’s choice. Nayanthara made her debut in Sathyan Anthikad’s `Manasinakkare’ with Jayram as costar. She also acted in `Vismayathumbathu’ and Natturajavu with Mohanlal. She has been signed to play the lead opposite Sarath Kumar in `Ayya’.
