Nidra- the debut directorial venture of Siddharth Bharathan, the son of late director Bharthan has started at Chalakkudy. Featuring the director himself in the lead role, the movie will also have Jishnu, Thalaivasal Vijay, Rajeev Parameshwaran, Vijay Menon and KPAC Lalitha in important roles, while Rima Kallingal will play the heroine.

A remake of the original eighties hit with the same title directed by Bharathan, the movie is scripted by Santhosh Echikkanam. While Jassie Gift is in charge of the music section, Sameer Thahir cranks the camera. LucSam creations produces the movie.
