'Karthikeya' a Nikhil and Swathi starrer is a thriller in med school backdrop and has almost finished the shooting part  with the final schedule planned from 15th November  till the month end. The film is being produced by Venkata Srinivas Boggaram on the banner Magnum Cine Prime, presented by Siruvuri Rajesh Varma and directed by debutante Chandu Mondeti. The movie is being made in two languages Telugu and Tamil at a time, keeping in mind Swathi's already successful stint in Tamil and the subject being an urban thriller.

Producer said 'It's thrilling to make my first film in two languages. Plans are on to release the film in January next year and this will be the highest budgeted film in Nikhil's career as of now.' Director said 'The film has the leads as medical students and Nikhil's character strong on his convictions. The story goes in a thriller and entertaining mode and I am sure, will be a good follow up success for the lead pair's earlier runaway hit SRR' Producer said'
