Nimirnthu Nil

Thursday, January 1, 1970 • Hindi Comments

After a gap of one year, Jeyam Ravi is going to back on screen; this time  with director Samuthirakani, who has given runaway hits 'Nadodigal' and 'Porali'. With this film, director Samuthirakani brings us a movie with a social message presented in unique style but Jayam Ravi has clarified that the film will satisfy the needs of a commercial entertainer and not completely message oriented.  Interestingly, Jeyam Ravi plays dual roles consecutively for the second time, after 'Ameerin Aadhi Bhagavan' which did not garner enough recognition for the actor's hard work.

Amala Paul plays the lead lady and also the love interest of Jeyam Ravi in  'Nimirnthu Nil'. This film will be crucial in her career since her latest film Thalaiva with Ilayathalabathi Vijay failed to make wonders at the box office.

The film went on the floors as early as in November 2012 and the main reason for its delayed release is attributed to be the time taken to prepare the bilingual flick simultaneously. In Telugu, the film is titled 'Janda Pai Kapiraju' and stars Nani as the protagonist. Both Tamil and Telugu versions hit the screens this Friday.

From the trailers, it looks like one of the two roles that Ravi plays is that of the 40+ year old baddie, while the other is presumably a responsible citizen and is the protagonist. Before Amala Paul was finalized, Nayanthara was approached for the role, but due to issues with availability of dates, the former clinched the deal nonetheless. Actor Sarathkumar who has started his stint as a character artiste with films like Chennaiyil Oru Naal is playing a pivotal role in this film while popular Television anchor Gopinath is appearing has himself in the film.

Audio of the film, composed by GV Prakash was launched in November last year, amidst speculation and widely popular response. With the rise in audience for variety, 'Nimirnthu Nil' is gearing up for a massive launch.
