'Ninaithale Inikkum' - Same title, new story

Remember ‘Ninaithale Inikkum’. The blockbuster film in 1979 by K Balachander set a new trend in Tamil film industry. The riveting songs by M S Viswanathan worked out wonders.

After three decades, a movie titled ‘Ninaithale Inikkum’ will be made in Kollywood. Starring Sakthi and Prithviraj in the lead roles, the movie will have Priyamani playing the heroine. Produced by Gemini Film Circuit, the movie is directed by Kumaravel, who has assisted Kamal Haasan in many films.

The director was quick to clarify stating that it is no remake of yesteryear classic. The title has been borrowed since it fits the storyline.

Sakthi is currently acting ‘Mahesh, Saranya, Mattrum Palar’ with Sandhya as heroine.
