Samantha had earlier expressed interest in starring in the Tamil/Telugu remake of the Kannada super hit movie U-Turn` starring Shraddha Srinath who has been seen in Mani Ratnam`s Kaatru Veliyidai` recently. However, due to her other commitments and her impending marriage this year to Naga Chaitanya, Sam is unable to do the project.

The producers now reportedly signed Nithya Menen in the remakes and shooting is set to begin soon. Samantha and Nithya Menen have been costars in Suriya` 24` and are also currently Ilayathalpathy`s pairs in Vijay 61`.
